Winning profiles follow a clean, structured setup.
1 Fulfill the Profile
- Primary Category: Choose your exact trade (e.g., Plumber or Heating Contractor), never generic Contractor.
- Service Area: Pinpoint your actual address. Hiding it to cover a massive area dilutes your rank and makes you invisible.
- Business Hours: Set real hours. Do not set 24/7 unless you actually answer the phone at 2 AM; otherwise, you might get 1-star reviews.

- Never Stock: Zero stock images, generic manufacturer parts, or blurry pipes.
- Vans & Staff: Upload your actual team, branded uniforms, and clean service vehicles.
- Projects: Show neat, completed jobs in a clean environment.
3 Google Posts
- Post Frequency: Publish once a week or once a month to show Google that business is active.
- AI Policy: Google does not currently penalize AI-generated post copy. It may change in future.
4 Strict NAP Consistency
- The Identity Rule: Google treats "12 High St" and "12 High Street" as two completely separate businesses.
